dwell on Design 2012

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 13, 2012) – Dwell on Design, the
West Coast’s largest Design Show, returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center
June 22-24, 2012. Curated by the editors of Dwell Magazine the three-day celebration brings together the best and brightest products, services, and thought leaders in modern design today for a series of conversations, demonstrations, tours, and much more. In addition to featuring over 350 exhibitors on the show floor, Dwell on Design encourages an ongoing design dialogue, showcasing over 70 presentations on three separate stages. This year, the show goes beyond the urban dwelling to encompass all aspects of the modern lifestyle, seeking out a new definition for modern beyond expectations.

I will be attending on Friday.  If you see me, please be sure to say Hi!

Hundun

I’m digging Hundun; a new wallpaper from one of my favorite lines, Trove. I’m not usually drawn to florals, but there is something about the blurred lotus blossom and the speckles of color in this print that I find very intriguing in a otherworldly kinda way.  It’s beautiful.

The lotus blossom, usually a static symbol of purity and peace, morphs into soft-focus motion in Hundun, Chinese for chaos.~Interior Design

Paul Smith Slow Exposure…

wall covering for Maharam‘s Digital Project. I do love me a Paul Smith stripe and this one is Over the Top COOL.
“Slow Exposure Stripe is a photo collage of London’s Brick Lane at night. By manipulating the camera’s shutter speed, the neon signs that line this bustling street are transformed into vibrant brushstrokes. ”

Lighting Strikes

“Fun, strikingly decorative and magical. One big bold pattern adds visual distraction and depth to this bedroom.”-abigail ahern
I couldn’t agree more.
Damn! I need this photo mural. It’s so RAD! I found the one pictured above here, but really love the a bit of the city like the one in the bedroom shot.

Round Up…

I remember my parents bedroom walls from the late 70’s wallpapered in a photo mural of a forest. And as much as I liked it then, I have to admit I still like the idea now, especially these. Here’s a few places you can get them and even do custom from your own photo.
