Crystal Head Vodka

Went to a really great party last Saturday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday at his FAB home. It was pretty hard to peel me away from the caviar and Crystal Head Vodka table.

Dan Aykroyd and John Alexander created their “perfect vodka” using a quadruple-distillation process thus making Crystal Head Vodka as pure as vodka can be. The head bottle design was inspired by the archaeological mystery of the 13 found crystal heads, said to be between 5,000 and 35,000 years old and the spiritual qualities and enlightenment they behold and given to those who possess them.

The Witches’ Kitchen

It’s that time of season to get something seriously cool for your holiday festivities….

The Witches’ Kitchen is a 15-piece handcrafted kitchenware collection featuring cookware, utensils, and kitchen couture. An Artecnica Design With Conscience project, the collection is a collaborative effort in sustainable design commissioned by Artecnica, designed by Studio Tord Boontje, and made by artisan communities in Brazil, Colombia, and Guatemala.

The ceramic cooking pots have a surface decoration created by pressing leaves from the surrounding jungle into the clay when the artisans are shaping the pots. The leaves burn away in the kiln firing and leave a fossil-like mark.

Inspired by the witches and wizards of western myth and legend, Witches’ Kitchen bridges the gap between sorcerer’s spell book and mother’s cookbook, celebrating the arcane magic behind every succulent dish.

How cool are the serving salad hands?

Henry Air Purifier

Standing just over 50″ tall, the Henry Air Purifier is capable of getting rid pollutants such as dust, pollen, soot, spores, smells, and even certain germs from the air, thanks to a five-stage filter which consists of a carbon/HEPA filter, a plasma generator, a Titanium Dioxide and UV light, a negative Ion generator and a fragrance holder.

Wine & Bar Accessories

I’ve said it before, but I really do appreciate a simple yet beautiful design and I wish I had seen these sooner. Our housekeeper has lost all my black rubber (ugly) wine stoppers so I’ve been cramming the old, cracked from the cork screw (ugly) corks into my open bottles of wine for a long while now. After seeing this cleverly designed set of cork wine accessories, I want to rid my tacky habit and use these. Normann Copenhagen‘s Wine & Bar accessories designed by Aurélien Barbry are just lovely.
